WSJ Headline “Subprime Bonds are Back”
Today’s Wall Street Journal front page features an article titled “Subprime Bonds are Back”. The headline let alone the content of the article is an illustration of the short-sightedness of capital to seek the maximum profit possible with little regards to any consequences. The article plays down that these bonds and risky gambling are what brought everything crashing in 2008 but then again when the government bails you out and sticks tax payers with the bill maybe that makes you willing to risk more. We need actual democracy where people have a say in all aspects of our lives, from whether or not we make bombs to kill people in Libya or houses to shelter the homeless to how to solve climate change - it’s time for Capitalism to be tossed into the dustbin of history.
