My Birthday

Three years ago from today Israel with full US support in its passivity was in the middle of “Operation Cast Lead” in which Israel used Apache Helicopters and other armaments supplied by our government to murder thousands of Palestinians - men, women, and children. As Lupe Fiasco put it “Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit”. It may be my birthday today but every year since 2008 I remember reading and seeing images of the war crimes committed in my name - our name - and the terrorism that the US and its allies commit on the peoples of the globe. Let’s continue to organize and fight against the injustices committed in our name for the interests of the 1% and make 2011 pale in comparison to 2012 in the struggle for a better world - because a better world is possible and the chains that shackle us have begun to break.
